Can you explain what is in a package?
Each package includes a specific number of fully retouched edited images.
Each package also includes a number of images from different poses
We will select all of the best images from each pose and set up and will completely edit them.
During your pick up date, 5 business days from your shoot, you will select your favourite images that meet your package.
If you wish to increase the number of images, each additional image can be bought for $20
Do you provide all props for in-studio newborn sessions?
Yes we provide all backdrops, props, wraps, bonnets and newborn headbands.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept e-transfers; debit cards and credit card payments using Wave, a secure third party payment.
Is there a deposit required to book a session?
$100 deposit is required, for most packages, to secure your booking. The deposit amount is listed within each bundle. Deposit is deducted from the chosen package and is only refundable 14 days before the booked session date.
What happens to images that I do not purchase?
Images that you do not purchase are deleted or may be used for marketing purposes.
When can I expect to get my images?
All images will be available for collection 5 business days from your shoot date via a private online gallery.
What if I don’t want my images posted online?
Abantu Village Baby respects your privacy. If you wish to remain offline, we will respect that. You will note that detail when you sign our service contract on the day of your session.
However, if you feel comfortable, allowing us to anonymously post images of your newborn on my social media business pages or website, we will happily gift you two images to add to the package you’ve purchased.
Why am I not able to select a date on the booking calendar?
The automatic booking system will not permit any bookings to be made within the 7 day window of the proposed session date.

Can I reschedule an appointment?
You can reschedule your appointment 14 days prior to your session date without any penalties. After this time, you will incur a $50 charge per session re-booked. If you are unable to attend your booked session, you will forfeit your deposit.
What is the difference between studio and lifestyle photography?
Our studio photography takes place in a controlled environment with studio lighting using different props with the baby posed. Our lifestyle photography takes place within your home or at any other natural environment with a lot of natural light and captures all the subjects doing their daily activities.
Why do you recommend having in-studio newborn portraits within the first two weeks?
In-studio newborn poses work best during the time when the baby is sleeping the most which occurs in the first two weeks.
Lifestyle newborn photography does not require a sleeping baby as it captures the newborn in natural poses.
When will I receive my gift certificate that I paid for online?
Once your payment is verified, a message will be sent to the email associated with your online transaction . Click on the provided link and follow the prompts to access your gift certificate.
Can I get a refund for my gift certificate?
Gift certificates are refundable within 48 hours to the card on file. After that, they are non-refundable.
Can I get a refund for a gift certificate that I received?
No. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash or cash equivalent.
Can I give my gift certificate to someone else to use?
No. Gift certificates are non transferable.
Am I guaranteed that I will get the booking that I want because I have a gift card?
All clients are required to use our online booking system and select within the posted availability.
What size is the size of the photo book?
The Photobook is landscape and measures 10×8 in / 25×20 cm, full-colour printing on standard matte, photo cover, 20 pages. Additional options are available with different prices.
When can I expect to collect my Photobook?
Your photobook will be available 4 weeks from your order date.

Your canvas will be available 4 weeks from your order date.
